About the role#
The Access Your Future Service Internship is a paid program designed to help you transition from the classroom to a career as a heavy equipment technician. You will work alongside experienced mentors to gain hands-on experience with machinery. This is a full-time, on-site role that offers the potential for full-time employment upon graduation.
What you'll do#
- Diagnose, inspect, recondition, repair, assemble, and service equipment.
- Perform basic maintenance and assist with troubleshooting.
- Learn to use advanced tools and technology in the shop.
- Document machine details and repair work on service orders.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while showing care for tools and equipment.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an approved Heavy Equipment Service, Diesel Technology, or technical service program.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA and a solid attendance record.
- Experience using mechanical tools.
- Strong computer skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stay organized.
- A passion for delivering excellent customer service.
- Valid work authorization in the United States.

- Compensation: $20 to $24 per hour.
