About the role#
Rise Recovery offers practicum and internship placements for students interested in recovery-oriented programs. These roles support youth, young adults, and families dealing with substance use and behavioral health challenges. You will work in a nonprofit setting while gaining hands-on experience under professional supervision. These placements are designed to help you meet academic requirements while you build skills in behavioral health and recovery services.
What you'll do#
- Observe and co-facilitate group sessions.
- Participate in intake and assessment processes.
- Assist with treatment planning and case coordination.
- Complete clinical documentation under supervision.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Provide supervised peer recovery support and facilitate recovery-oriented activities.
- Support participants with goal setting and recovery planning.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited academic or certification program that requires practicum hours.
- Good academic standing.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
- Commitment to scheduled hours and supervision requirements.
- Successful completion of required screenings and documentation.
