About the role#
Robot.com is hiring a Robotics Embedded Systems Intern to join the Autonomy Department. You will work on real-world robotics challenges and contribute to projects that advance the capabilities of delivery robots. You will collaborate with roboticists, hardware engineers, IT software developers, and ML experts to meet system requirements.
What you'll do#
- Design, test, and refine software for robotics and AI applications.
- Connect software, embedded hardware, and data pipelines into unified robotic solutions.
- Tune algorithms to improve system performance and efficiency.
- Manage firmware releases, OS updates, and dependencies for robot fleets.
- Develop and execute test programs to ensure system integration.
- Maintain embedded firmware, manage containers, and support CI pipelines.
- Work with communication protocols for sensors, actuators, and robot boards.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in Python and C++.
- Experience with ROS or ROS2.
- Familiarity with ARM architectures and IoT platforms.
- Experience integrating APIs and sensors such as LiDAR, cameras, and IMU.
- Knowledge of version control with Git and containerization with Docker.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
