About the role#
The Investments Intern supports the Ryan Investments Group, which includes Capital Markets and Asset/Portfolio Management. This role assists with various asset classes that the company owns or develops, managing projects from inception through final disposition. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Interpret and apply information found in loan documents, sale documents, and lease agreements.
- Model real estate development cash flows using Excel and Argus.
- Evaluate and reforecast project cash flows for Ryan Funds.
- Participate in equity and debt raises by performing financial analysis and creating offering memorandums.
- Manage broker interactions and relationships.
- Support the targeted marketing of investment properties for sale and assist with general departmental needs.
- Present a short investment thesis on future trends or new frontiers to the Investments team.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, business administration, or economics.
- Graduation date within 18 months of the internship term.
- Strong working knowledge of Argus and Excel, including the ability to model complex financial structures.
- Ability to work up to 40 hours per week for a minimum of three months.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Strong organizational skills and an entry-level presentation skillset.
