About the role#
As a Manufacturing Engineering Assistant, you will join our team for a co-op term starting in Winter 2027. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Etobicoke, Ontario. You will contribute to projects that support our manufacturing operations and gain hands-on experience in the electrical equipment industry. The hourly pay range for this position is $22.70 to $36.40, depending on your year of study, academic program, and previous co-op experience.
What you'll do#
- Update plant layouts and prepare work instructions.
- Assist Project and Manufacturing Engineers with CAPEX projects.
- Conduct process studies and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work with designers and engineers to create and improve fixtures.
- Perform daily tasks that may involve standing, walking, or moving objects up to 20lbs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a registered post-secondary co-op program for Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Availability for a 4, 8, or 12 month placement starting in Winter 2027.
- Proficiency in VBA and Python.
- Experience with CAD software such as Solid Edge, Solid Works, or AutoCAD.
- Practical experience working with machines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
