About the role#
The Student Nurse Advancement Program provides nursing students with paid, hands-on clinical experience while completing their education. You will begin in a Patient Care Technician role, working alongside experienced professionals to build clinical skills and prepare for a future career as a Registered Nurse. This program offers a pathway to advance into internship experiences and future nursing roles within the organization.
What you'll do#
- Record vital statistics and other basic health information.
- Provide patient-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to patients.
- Clean patient living areas or treatment rooms.
- Collect non-invasive biological specimens from patients.
- Perform clerical work related to scheduling and documenting patient healthcare.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited nursing program.
- Maintenance of acceptable job performance standards.
- Good academic standing within your nursing program.
- Ability to obtain and maintain department specific competencies and certifications.
- If you are not a Certified Nursing Assistant, you must be on the North Dakota Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry.

- Compensation: Starting rate of $21.50 per hour.
- Schedule: 8 hours per week, with shifts that vary.
