About the role#
As a Trade Planning Intern, you will support promotional analytics by examining the historical performance of Sargento and our competitors. You will work to turn data into insights that help improve promotional effectiveness and business returns. This role offers exposure to pricing and promotion decision-making within a consumer goods environment.
What you'll do#
- Analyze data to identify business drivers and trends, then develop recommendations based on your findings.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Brand, and Trade teams to build a holistic understanding of business needs.
- Develop an understanding of how price, promotion, and consumer response influence volume and spend forecasting.
- Present your findings and recommendations directly to senior leadership.
- Distinguish between isolated customer issues and larger trends that cross product lines or channels.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, economics, analytics, or a related field.
- You have completed your sophomore year before the internship start date.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- A valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and a personal vehicle are required for this role.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Plymouth, Wisconsin.
- The work modality is hybrid, with onsite work expected Monday through Thursday and an optional remote day on Friday.
