    About the role#

    Saskatoon Co-operative Association Ltd. is hiring an Accounts Payable Supervisor to work at our Home Office in Winnipeg. This position reports to the Controller and involves managing daily accounts payable operations while mentoring our accounting team.

    What you'll do#

    • Plan, organize, and manage daily activities within the accounts payable department.
    • Process bi-weekly EFT payments and cheque runs to ensure timely disbursement.
    • Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements to the general ledger.
    • Train and mentor junior accounting staff to support team development.
    • Maintain and update accounts payable policies and procedures.
    • Review supplier invoices for policy compliance and accurate general ledger coding.
    • Resolve accounting issues and manage vendor inquiries.

    What you'll need#

    • A minimum of 3 years of accounts payable experience.
    • At least 2 years of experience supervising and training staff.
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with a focus on Microsoft Excel.
    • Prior experience processing and reviewing invoices within Oracle JD Edwards is considered a strong asset.
    • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance is preferred.
