About the role#
Swan Valley Co-op is hiring a part-time Produce Clerk for our Food Store in Swan River, Manitoba. This position reports to the Produce Manager and serves as a public representative for the Co-op within the local community.
What you'll do#
- Provide friendly and efficient service to all customers.
- Cut, prepare, and package fruits and vegetables into various tray sizes.
- Maintain assigned merchandise sections using first-in, first-out rotation methods.
- Report close-dated products to the Produce Manager.
- Follow established procedures for trimming, washing, culling, and pricing produce.
- Assist with inventory control and ordering duties.
- Clean and sanitize equipment and display cases to meet safety and department standards.
What you'll need#
- Previous experience in retail or a related industry.
- A focus on creating positive experiences for guests.
- Ability to follow set procedures for food preparation and trimming.
- Capacity to assist with inventory management tasks.
