    About the role#

    Schnabel Engineering is hiring a full-time intern for the Summer 2027 term. This role focuses on applying engineering principles to real projects under the guidance of senior staff. You will gain practical experience through a mix of office and field work. Some travel may be required.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist with geotechnical investigations and analyses.
    • Support designs for retaining walls, excavation support, and reinforced concrete.
    • Conduct hydrology and hydraulic studies.
    • Prepare construction plans.
    • Support advanced earthquake engineering analyses.
    • Perform construction observation and materials testing.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering Bachelor’s program.
    • Good oral and written communication skills plus computer literacy.
    • A valid driver’s license, as driving is essential to this role.
    • Ability to routinely lift up to 50 pounds.
    • Ability to pass a background check and a pre-employment drug screening.

    • Location: Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania.
    • Term: Summer 2027 (May through August).
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • This is a paid, full-time internship.
