About the role#
Schonfeld is looking for an intern to join the Middle Office team within our Operations division. This is a ten-week program based in our New York office. You will work alongside senior management and peer groups on operational projects. The role provides exposure to various departments including Core Operations, Asset Servicing, Technology, and Accounting. You will receive formal training and mentorship throughout the summer.
What you'll do#
- Support the post-trade processing of all trading activity to ensure trades hydrate internal systems and reach external partners.
- Partner with prime brokers and executing brokers to resolve trade settlement breaks.
- Create and improve databases to maintain organized and centralized data.
- Collaborate with the team to build scalable infrastructure while maintaining high data integrity.
What you'll need#
- An interest in gaining operations experience at a hedge fund.
- A basic understanding of capital markets, investing, and hedge fund strategies.
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
- Pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Data Science, or Computer Science.
