About the role#
Schonfeld offers a ten-week internship program within the Technology division. You will join an experienced engineering team to work on projects that support our research and trading platforms. Interns are assigned a dedicated manager and mentor to guide their work and professional development. You will participate in team-building activities, networking sessions with senior leadership, and skills workshops. Successful completion of the program may lead to a full-time offer of employment.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, deploy, and support applications, features, and platforms.
- Write software to improve the functionality, performance, stability, efficiency, and scalability of our systems.
- Participate in an Agile framework.
- Complete a summer-long project relevant to your assigned team and present your results at the end of the program.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
- Demonstrated software engineering skills through previous internships, coding competitions, or publications.
- Experience or interest in programming languages such as C++, Java, or Python.
- Basic knowledge of Git and databases.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Interest in capital markets or finance is preferred, though prior industry experience is not required.

- Compensation: This is a paid, full-time position with a prorated base pay range of $125,000 to $145,000 per year.
