About the role#
Schonfeld is looking for an intern to join the Discretionary Macro and Fixed Income (DMFI) business. You will work in our New York office to support the team by building tools and identifying trade opportunities. This role focuses on fixed income instruments, including bonds, interest rate swaps, and volatility products.
What you'll do#
- Partner with and support a Fixed Income Team within the DMFI division.
- Build tools to assist with fixed income instrument analysis.
- Analyze large datasets to generate actionable trade ideas for the team.
- Work with portfolio managers to provide decision support.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Financial Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong mathematical and statistical modeling experience.
- Familiarity with Python, Excel, and dashboard generation.
- Comfort working with and analyzing large datasets.
- High level of attention to detail and strong communication skills.
- Interest in macro and fixed income markets.

- Duration: 10 weeks.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $50,000 to $80,000 annually, prorated based on the internship dates.
