About the role#
Scout AI offers transitioning service members the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through the DoW SkillBridge program. You will work alongside engineering and operations teams to support testing, data collection, and mission execution for autonomous ground and air systems. This is a field-focused role where you will help operate and maintain platforms while contributing to test missions.
What you'll do#
- Support real-world testing, data collection, and mission execution for autonomous ground and air systems.
- Operate, configure, and maintain vehicles and sensor payloads in field environments.
- Execute tasks during structured test events, document observations, and ensure reliable data capture.
- Assist with troubleshooting, logistics, and system readiness to maintain operational tempo.
- Work with engineering, operations, and customer-facing teams to support product development and demonstrations.
What you'll need#
- Active-duty service member approved to participate in the DoW SkillBridge program.
- Within 180 days of separation or retirement from military service.
- Strong work ethic, professionalism, and adaptability.
- Comfort working outdoors and performing hands-on operational tasks.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Mechanical aptitude or operational experience in vehicle, aviation, tactical, or technical fields.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- Roles are based on-site in Sunnyvale, California or Paso Robles, California.
- The internship term is rolling.
