About the role#
The Damages & Valuations team works at the intersection of finance, data, strategy, and the law. We assist clients in high-stakes situations where they need to understand business value, quantify financial losses, or interpret complex financial evidence. As an intern, you will collaborate with accountants, economists, PhDs, and industry experts to investigate issues and translate data into clear insights. This role offers exposure to real-world disputes and arbitration matters.
What you'll do#
- Review case documents, research materials, and discovery records to establish facts in complex disputes.
- Analyze financial statements, business records, and market data to support valuation work and quantify damages.
- Build financial models and organize data to explain issues clearly.
- Draft reports, presentations, and client-ready materials.
- Work alongside senior consultants to gain experience in litigation support and economic consulting.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028.
- Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with data.
- Familiarity with tools such as Stata, R, Python, or SQL is helpful.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and communicate proactively.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
- Interest in professional credentials like CPA, CFA, CVA, or ASA is a plus.
