About the role#
Seidel Schroeder is hiring a tax intern for the winter 2028 term. This role provides hands-on experience in tax planning and preparation. You will work alongside associates, managers, and partners to gain exposure to various aspects of the accounting profession.
What you'll do#
- Prepare tax returns from start to finish, including individual, corporate, partnership, estate, gift, trust, payroll, and state franchise returns.
- Collaborate with associates, partners, and clients across different industries.
- Learn and use various tax programs and software.
- Review data to identify and resolve technical tax issues.
- Adjust client-prepared books to ensure the accuracy of tax returns.
- Research tax issues and communicate findings to your team.
- Complete additional projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Completion of Intermediates I and II courses before the internship starts.
- An overall GPA of 3.0, with at least a 3.0 in accounting coursework.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.

- Location: Brenham, Texas.
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship.
