About the role#
Seidel Schroeder is hiring a tax intern for the Spring 2027 term. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position based in Brenham, Texas. You will work alongside associates, managers, and partners to gain experience in tax planning and preparation.
What you'll do#
- Prepare tax returns from start to finish for individuals, corporations, partnerships, estates, trusts, and payroll.
- Adjust client books to ensure the accuracy of tax filings.
- Identify and resolve technical tax issues through research and review.
- Collaborate with the team and clients across a variety of industries.
- Learn to use various tax software programs.
- Complete additional projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Completion of Intermediates I and II accounting courses before the internship starts.
- An overall GPA of 3.0 or higher, with at least a 3.0 in accounting coursework.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- High attention to detail and the ability to proofread work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
