About the role#
The Management and Sales Internship is a paid, 10-12-week summer program. It provides hands-on experience in retail store operations, sales, and management. You will work in a paint store environment, travel with a Sales Representative to gain insight into outside sales, and spend structured time with the management team. Interns also collaborate on a team-based business project to address real store initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Provide friendly and professional customer assistance in-store and over the phone.
- Maintain product displays and offer product recommendations.
- Develop product knowledge and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Restock shelves and support general inventory management.
- Assist with point-of-sale transactions and product mixing.
- Help unload deliveries and organize stockrooms.
- Participate in training and follow all store policies.
- Support team members with customer concerns.
- Collaborate with peers on a team-based business project.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university, specifically as a rising or current Junior or Senior.
- At least eighteen years of age.
- Ability to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks, including lifting up to 50 lbs. frequently and 70 lbs. on occasion.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- At least one year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service.
- Previous experience in a team-oriented setting.
- A valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
- Ability to communicate in more than one language, including Spanish.
- For internal candidates: a rating of at least meets expectations on your most recent performance appraisal and completion of all HR Cloud eLearning courses.
