About the role#
The Management and Sales Summer Internship is a paid, 10-12-week program designed to provide hands-on experience in retail store operations. You will gain insight into management, sales, and customer service while working directly in a paint store. The program includes structured time with management teams and the opportunity to travel with Sales Representatives to learn about outside sales. You will also collaborate with other interns on a project that addresses a real business challenge.
What you'll do#
- Provide friendly and professional assistance to customers in-store and over the phone.
- Maintain product displays and recommend items that meet customer needs.
- Assist with point-of-sale transactions, product preparation, and general store maintenance.
- Develop a strong understanding of store merchandise to answer customer inquiries.
- Collaborate with fellow interns on a team-based project addressing a real business challenge.
What you'll need#
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be enrolled in a college or university at the time of the program.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs on occasion.
- Willingness to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
