About the role#
The Management and Sales Internship is a paid, 10-12 week summer program based in Portland, Oregon. This full-time, on-site role provides hands-on experience in retail store operations, sales, and management. You will gain insight into a career in outside sales by shadowing a Sales Representative and working directly with the store management team. Interns also collaborate on a team project to address a real business challenge or store initiative.
What you'll do#
- Provide friendly and professional assistance to customers in-store and over the phone.
- Maintain product displays and recommend items that meet customer needs.
- Assist with point-of-sale transactions, product mixing, and general store maintenance.
- Unload deliveries, organize stockrooms, and manage inventory flow.
- Work with fellow interns on a team-based project to solve a business challenge.
What you'll need#
- Must be at least eighteen years of age.
- Must be enrolled in a college or university at the time of the internship.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.
- Must hold a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
- At least one year of experience in a delivery, retail, or customer service position.
- Ability to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
