About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Pharmacy Intern position at a Shoppers Drug Mart location in Calgary. You will work in a community pharmacy setting to gain practical experience while supporting the daily operations of the store. This role is designed for students pursuing degrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, or Health Administration.
What you'll do#
- Greet all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Ensure all privacy requirements, including confidentiality and consent management, are met.
- Maintain high visibility to the public while on duty.
- Help deliver health, beauty, and convenience services to the community.
- Provide an exceptional experience for pharmacy customers.
- Learn to manage a retail pharmacy and understand the evolving role of the community pharmacist.
What you'll need#
- Knowledge of OTC products and disease state management.
- Understanding of drug therapy.
- Patient counseling skills.
- Strong communication skills to interact with patients, staff, and other health care workers.

- Schedule: Full-time, day shifts.
- Compensation: $23.20 - $30.25 per hour, depending on experience and location.
