About the role#
This is a part time, hourly position for a pharmacy student at a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart in Cochrane. You will gain practical, real world experience in a community pharmacy setting to complement your academic studies. This role focuses on supporting the pharmacy team while delivering health, beauty, and convenience services to the community.
What you'll do#
- Acknowledge all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Ensure all privacy requirements, including customer confidentiality and consent management, are met.
- Maintain a clear and professional presence that is identifiable to the public.
- Deliver health, beauty, and convenience services to customers.
- Support the local community through pharmacy services.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a program such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, or Health Administration.
- Knowledge of OTC products, disease state management, and drug therapy.
- The skills necessary to manage a retail pharmacy environment.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare workers.
- A commitment to providing an exceptional shopping experience for pharmacy customers.

- Compensation: $23.20 - $30.25 per hour, based on experience and knowledge.
