About the role#
This position offers practical experience for students in a community pharmacy setting. You will work in a locally owned store while receiving support from a national brand. The role focuses on providing health, beauty, and convenience services while helping customers in your community.
What you'll do#
- Greet all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Support community pharmacy operations and help manage the retail environment.
- Maintain customer confidentiality and follow all privacy requirements.
- Learn about the expanding roles of a community pharmacist.
- Develop skills in patient counseling, drug therapy, disease state management, and OTC products.
- Improve communication with patients, staff, and other health care workers.
- Focus on providing a positive shopping experience for every customer.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, or Public Health programs.
- A commitment to keeping the customer at the center of your work.
- Ability to follow privacy and consent management protocols.
- Interest in gaining real-world training within a retail pharmacy.
Location & details#
- Location: Vernon, British Columbia.
- Schedule: Part-time, day shifts with rolling terms.
- Pay: $22.00 to $28.75 per hour, depending on experience and knowledge.
- Modality: On-site.
