About the role#
This is a part-time pharmacy student position at a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart in Coquitlam. You will gain practical experience in a community pharmacy setting, supporting the daily operations of the store while working under the guidance of an Associate-Owner. This role is designed to help you bridge your academic studies with real-world pharmacy practice.
What you'll do#
- Greet and acknowledge all customers who approach the pharmacy counter.
- Ensure all privacy requirements are met, including customer confidentiality and consent management.
- Maintain a clear and professional presence to be easily identifiable to the public.
- Provide an exceptional shopping experience for pharmacy customers.
- Support the practice of pharmacy in a community setting, including patient counseling and drug therapy tasks.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a program such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Health Administration, Biomedical Sciences, or Public Health.
- A focus on providing high-quality customer service.
- Knowledge of over-the-counter (OTC) products and disease state management.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, staff, and other health care workers.
- An interest in learning the skills required to manage a retail pharmacy.

- Compensation: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour.
