About the role#
Silimate is hiring an AI Research Intern to help build AI-native tools and agent-driven workflows for chip design. You will work directly with our founders on research direction and design decisions. This role is based in our Mountain View office and has the potential to transition into a full-time position.
What you'll do#
- Architect, implement, and benchmark methodology across models, algorithms, and training frontiers for AI-native chip design.
- Collaborate directly with the founders on key research direction and design decisions.
- Contribute to the growth and velocity of our startup.
- Meet aggressive goals in a startup environment.
What you'll need#
- Availability for 15-40 hours per week in-person in Mountain View, CA.
- Proficiency in writing and shipping high-quality Python or C++ code quickly.
- Experience with applied AI and AI research.
- An adaptive, data-driven mindset that works from first principles.
- Enrollment or background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Physics.

- Commitment: 15-40 hours per week (rolling term).
- Compensation: $5.2K - $7K per month.
