About the role#
Smart Data Solutions is hiring a Software Engineer Intern to focus on monitoring and incident management. You will work within our engineering team to track the health, performance, and availability of our software products. This is a full-time, paid position based in our Dallas office.
What you'll do#
- Design, implement, and maintain monitoring solutions to track system performance.
- Respond to alerts and troubleshoot incidents to ensure timely resolution.
- Develop custom scripts and automation tools to extend our monitoring capabilities.
- Generate performance reports and analytics to keep stakeholders informed of system health trends.
- Collaborate with support and implementation teams to prevent future incidents.
- Analyze system metrics to optimize software efficiency and resource utilization.
What you'll need#
- Junior or Senior standing in a 4-year Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree program.
- Proficiency in Java and SQL.
- Experience working with Windows operating systems.
- Knowledge of relational databases.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to technical issues.
- Ability to communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally.

- This role is located on-site in Dallas, Texas.
- This is a full-time internship with a rolling term.
