About the role#
Smythe LLP is hiring a Tax Analyst for the Direct-to-Tax CPA Articling Student program. This full-time position starts in September 2027 at our Vancouver office. You will work within our Canadian Tax Practice Group while completing the requirements for your CPA designation.
What you'll do#
- Prepare Canadian tax filings for both individuals and businesses.
- Handle a variety of personal and corporate tax issues.
- Perform tax research to support client needs.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients.
- Work with a dedicated coach to guide your professional development and career growth.
- Receive structured mentorship through the CPA program.
What you'll need#
- Completion of all CPA PREP prerequisites.
- Eligibility to start the CPA PEP program while employed.
- A strong interest in Canadian tax.
- Ability to engage directly with clients.
- A willingness to learn and develop your professional skills.
- Background in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.

- Compensation: $55,000 per year.
