About the role#
Soccer Shots Central Indiana offers a hands-on internship for students interested in sports management and small business operations. Interns gain experience in the daily functions of a youth soccer program while focusing on character development for children. You will work under the supervision of the Admin and Event Coordinator to learn how a successful franchise system operates.
What you'll do#
- Coach youth soccer sessions and act as a backup for other coaches when needed.
- Assist in the overall execution of the scheduled season and seasonal events.
- Manage customer service inquiries via phone and email, including survey responses.
- Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, inventory management, and preparing new hire materials.
- Organize and distribute promotional materials, uniforms, and seasonal prizes.
- Execute marketing tasks, including social media posts, newsletters, and player profiles.
- Attend weekly 1-1 staff meetings and leadership sessions.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to the leadership team.
- Read assigned books on leadership and management.
What you'll need#
- A professional demeanor and a commitment to punctuality.
- Ability to interact effectively with parents and childcare center directors.
- A willingness to balance both administrative office duties and on-field coaching responsibilities.
- Students pursuing degrees in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or Operations Management are encouraged to apply.
