About the role#
Space Kinetic Corp. is hiring a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to support design and process improvements within our defense and space manufacturing operations. This is a paid, full-time position based in El Segundo, California. We operate on a rolling start and end timeframe.
What you'll do#
- Assist in engineering activities that support design or process improvement.
- Work with the Engineering team to design and build prototypes for our core technology.
- Create layouts and detail drawings for assigned equipment.
- Evaluate various equipment and methods to identify their advantages and disadvantages.
- Monitor new developments in equipment or processes to improve manufacturing workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to project goals as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering degree program.
- You must be a recent college graduate or graduating within the last semester of your program.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and electrical skills.
- Ability to work with minimal direction and learn new concepts quickly.
- Effective written communication skills.
- Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident to comply with U.S. Government export regulations.
- Ability to maintain or obtain a Government Security Clearance.

- This position is strictly on-site at our headquarters in El Segundo, California.
