About the role#
This internship provides exposure to the medical equipment manufacturing industry within our Foot & Ankle sales division. You will work on-site in Austin, Texas, during the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, paid position designed for students pursuing degrees in Business Administration, Marketing, Biomedical Engineering, Communications, or Operations Management.
What you'll do#
- Shadow Sales Associates, Sales Representatives, and Operations team members to gain insight into branch operations.
- Develop a project segment focused on creating a target account list or a marketing strategy.
- Learn selling skills, sales processes, and instrument use techniques through coaching and mentorship.
- Assist Team Member Drivers with the delivery of instrument kits to and from customer accounts.
- Support warehouse staff by assembling and breaking down instrument kits and preparing products for surgery.
- Collaborate with various teams on product-related tasks and assist with special projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in a related field, with plans to continue your studies after the summer.
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency status.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above is preferred.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work with independent judgment.
