About the role#
STV is hiring a Civil Engineering Intern for Summer 2027. This position is based in Franklin, Tennessee, and operates on a hybrid schedule requiring at least three days per week in the office. This is a paid, full-time internship. We prefer candidates who can commit to at least three months of work. Please note that this position is not eligible for sponsorship.
What you'll do#
- Assist with civil engineering design from initial concept through project completion.
- Work with architects, environmental engineers, and other project stakeholders.
- Communicate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Perform feasibility studies, site investigations, and risk assessments.
- Prepare technical reports, project narratives, and development applications.
- Use engineering software to support design tasks and documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program for Civil Engineering at an ABET-accredited university or NCEES equivalent.
- Familiarity with software such as MicroStation, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, or Open Roads Designer.
- Previous experience in the architecture, engineering, or construction management industry.
