About the role#
STV is hiring a Civil Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Dallas, Texas. You will work alongside our experienced team to contribute to infrastructure projects from start to finish. We look for candidates who can commit to at least three months of work.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the design of civil engineering projects from conceptualization through completion.
- Collaborate with architects, environmental engineers, and other project stakeholders.
- Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and risk assessments to inform design choices.
- Prepare technical reports, narratives, and development applications.
- Develop engineering designs using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Assist with technical proposals and documentation for ongoing projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program for Civil Engineering at an ABET-accredited university or NCEES equivalent.
- Familiarity with design software such as MicroStation, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, or Open Roads Designer.
- Previous experience within the architecture, engineering, or construction management industry.
