About the role#
As a Communications and Event Planning Intern at Summit Agricultural Group, you will gain hands-on experience in event logistics, internal communications, and marketing material development. You will work from our headquarters in Alden, Iowa. This is a paid, full-time, on-site role with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Plan, promote, and manage logistics for internal and external events, including food preparation, setup, and teardown.
- Organize event supplies and maintain project schedules.
- Design event invitations, manage mailing lists, and prepare mailings.
- Create video and photo content to support company needs.
- Produce the bi-weekly company newsletter.
- Update marketing materials for company positions.
- Assist with intern-specific events and gain exposure to human resources tasks.
- Deliver a final presentation to the management team.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, as well as Canva.
- Strong writing and proofreading skills.
- A customer service ethic and a focus on quality.
- Ability to use email and web search tools effectively.
- Pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, or Business Administration.
