About the role#
As a Farm Management Intern at Summit Agricultural Group, you will gain exposure to the various aspects of farm management. You will help enhance property value and returns through land improvements and the implementation of new technology. This role requires you to manage projects and complete tasks accurately.
What you'll do#
- Plan and coordinate land improvement projects, such as drainage tiles, demolition, and waterway construction.
- Support the management team by preparing growing season reports and client updates.
- Manage yield maps, soil tests, and farm data reports.
- Monitor records for conservation program compliance.
- Review lease terms and assist in negotiations to meet client goals.
- Assist with tax assessments, property tax payments, and insurance maintenance for farm assets.
- Recommend lease alternatives based on enterprise budget analysis.
- Compile and organize crop input information.
- Lead special projects related to farm analysis and valuation.
- Deliver a final presentation to the management team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a sophomore or above in college.
- A degree path in agricultural business, agricultural studies, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as a motivated self-starter.

- This position is based in Alden, Iowa.
- The role is on-site and full-time.
- This is a paid internship with a rolling term.
