About the role#
As a Land Fund Intern at Summit Agricultural Group, you will work on asset acquisition, sales, and farm management. You will manage projects and complete tasks at our headquarters in Alden, Iowa. This role offers exposure to the various areas of our investment management operations.
What you'll do#
- Source agricultural real estate investment opportunities across the Midwest.
- Interact with farmers, lenders, appraisers, and real estate brokers.
- Conduct credit analysis to help secure tenants for land rentals.
- Analyze local market trends to recommend exit strategies.
- Maintain farm management records to track performance and productivity.
- Capture drone imagery of farms within our portfolio.
- Deliver a final presentation to the management team.
What you'll need#
- Sophomore standing or higher in a degree program for agricultural business, agricultural studies, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to solve problems and work independently as a self-starter.
