About the role#
This position is a hybrid Medical Scribe and Medical Assistant role based at Riverside Pain Physicians in Jacksonville Beach. You will work directly with providers to gain clinical experience and build skills in medical documentation. This is a full-time role with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
What you'll do#
Your primary responsibility is to document patient encounters in the EMR in real time. You will capture histories, physical exam findings, and treatment plans as directed. You will also record lab, imaging, and procedure results while ensuring all documentation is accurate and finalized in a timely manner. As a Medical Assistant, you will obtain vital signs, document medical histories, prepare patients for exams, and assist providers during visits. You are responsible for maintaining HIPAA compliance at all times.
What you'll need#
We look for candidates with strong attention to detail and the ability to type accurately while documenting in real time. You should have solid communication skills and be a reliable, team-oriented professional. While not required, we prefer candidates with prior medical scribe experience, a background as a Medical Assistant or EMT, or knowledge of medical terminology and EMR systems. This role is well-suited for students in Nursing, Public Health, Health Administration, Biomedical Sciences, or Psychology.
Location & details#
This is an on-site, full-time position located in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. The role offers a pay rate of $20 to $21 per hour and includes a full benefits package with paid time off.
