About the role#
The Asset Integrity Engineering department maintains the integrity of all Tallgrass pipeline and facility assets. This team manages the Integrity Management Program, reviews potential threats to infrastructure, and coordinates necessary inspections. As an intern, you will support these efforts by contributing to projects that ensure the safety and reliability of our energy infrastructure.
What you'll do#
- Assist with sustaining pipeline integrity management programs for liquid and gas assets.
- Collaborate with internal teams including Corrosion, Technical Services, GIS and Engineering Records, Measurement, and Field Operations.
- Perform data integration and quality assurance tasks for ongoing integrity projects.
- Review industry best practices and apply these standards to current team operations.
- Work on specific projects such as class location studies, material verification, MAOP reconfirmation, cyclic fatigue assessment, in-line inspections, and corrosion mitigation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Engineering institution or related discipline.
- Expected graduation date between December 2026 and May 2028.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Critical thinking skills to evaluate data and reports for informed decision-making.
- Professionalism when interacting with diverse individuals and teams.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, 10-week summer internship running from May through August 2027.
- The role is based in Lakewood, Colorado, with on-site and hybrid work options.
- Pay ranges from $26.18 to $37.09 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
