About the role#
The Air Compliance team ensures that operations follow federal, state, and local environmental regulations. This role involves managing permits, monitoring emissions, and performing regular reporting to help minimize environmental impact. You will work with the team to identify potential compliance issues, coordinate inspections, and develop programs to reduce emissions.
What you'll do#
- Collect, organize, and analyze data to support emissions calculations for greenhouse gases and criteria pollutants.
- Support the preparation and submission of regulatory reports to federal and state agencies.
- Maintain and update permits to ensure all documentation remains current and compliant.
- Research air quality regulations and assist in implementing compliance strategies.
- Coordinate emissions testing and monitoring activities, including recordkeeping.
- Prepare documentation for audits and inspections.
- Collaborate with team members on emissions reduction and process improvements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degreed program for environmental science, environmental studies, chemical or environmental engineering, geosciences, environmental policy, sustainability, or natural resources management.
- Expected graduation date between December 2026 and May 2028.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- A basic understanding of environmental regulations and compliance standards.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new software and regulatory tools.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and effective communication skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Lakewood, Colorado.
- Term: Summer 2027 (10 weeks, May through August).
- Modality: Full-time, on-site.
- Compensation: $25.43 to $37.09 per hour, with additional benefits including paid time off and a housing stipend.
