About the role#
As a Quantitative Analyst Intern, you will join our team to support the analysis of trading and proprietary data. You will help produce quantitative models, signals, and impact models that drive decision making for our execution offerings. This 12-week internship runs from June 1, 2027, to August 27, 2027, and provides hands-on experience with financial market data analysis under the mentorship of our quantitative analysts and product owners.
What you'll do#
- Analyze trading data and proprietary intraday signals to produce quantitative execution alphas.
- Create bespoke analytics visualizations to illustrate trading patterns and execution insights.
- Use internal tools and systems for data analysis.
- Work on quantitative strategies that utilize execution alphas to drive trading decisions.
- Gather and organize data related to trading algorithm performance.
- Learn about market microstructure and best execution practices.
- Prepare quantitative content for client meetings, presentations, and academic research reporting.
- Backtest real-world trading features.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Masters or Doctorate degree in Computer Science or a related field, with an expected graduation in 2029.
- Advanced proficiency in Python, including data science libraries like pandas and dataframe architecture.
- Experience with SQL, including constructing and optimizing complex queries; familiarity with BigQuery or similar cloud-based platforms is preferred.
- Strong statistical knowledge, including probability distributions, hypothesis testing, and data sampling methods.
- Solid foundation in mathematical principles, including linear algebra, calculus, and regression analysis.
- Exposure to computational finance concepts, machine learning, and deep learning algorithms.
- Knowledge of portfolio optimization methodologies, such as Markowitz risk-return models, is a plus.
