About the role#
Talos is looking for a Software Engineering Intern to join the Dealer team for Summer 2027. You will work on high-performance trading systems, building tools that support decision-making and performance evaluation. The Dealer platform handles trading, liquidity management, and risk controls for institutional clients. This is a 12-week, full-time internship running from June 1, 2027, to August 27, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the Trading team to define project scope, requirements, and milestones.
- Prepare design documentation and join architectural discussions with team members.
- Build features in Go to enhance the Order Management System (OMS).
- Add analytics and metrics to measure the impact of your changes.
- Incorporate feedback and iterate on your work based on team input.
- Demonstrate project progress through regular demos.
What you'll need#
- Class of 2028 student pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Proficiency in at least one compiled language such as Go, C++, or Java.
- At least one previous internship working on backend systems in a production environment.
- Knowledge of relational databases like Postgres.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and self-driven approach to projects.
- Past experience with trading systems is a plus.
