About the role#
This is a paid, 40-hour per week summer internship designed to prepare you for store leadership. You will gain a realistic preview of the Executive Team Leader role by working closely with mentors and store managers. The program focuses on developing your retail business acumen, leadership skills, and operational knowledge through hands-on experience.
What you'll do#
- Lead and support the execution of daily store operations.
- Coach, train, and deliver performance feedback to hourly team members and team leaders.
- Plan daily goals and organize tasks within the building.
- Review business reporting and guest insights to troubleshoot opportunity areas.
- Manage team priorities, including stocking shelves and building displays.
- Engage with guests to provide an exceptional shopping experience.
- Participate in ongoing development conversations and training activities.
What you'll need#
- A strong interest in working in retail.
- Leadership skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment.
- Ability to frequently lift or move merchandise up to 44 pounds.
- Capability to climb ladders, handle cash register operations, and access all areas of the building.
- A flexible work schedule, including availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Human Resources, or Marketing.
