About the role#
TD Insurance is seeking an actuarial intern to join the General Insurance team for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Toronto. You will contribute to core actuarial functions, including model development, financial analysis, and regulatory reporting.
What you'll do#
- Develop and improve actuarial models.
- Analyze experience results.
- Assist in the production of regulatory rate change submissions.
- Analyze monthly financial results.
- Participate in research projects and market studies.
- Maintain and improve underwriting rules and contribute to underwriting analyses.
- Support reinsurance tasks and the company budget process.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an actuarial student.
- Academic background in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or Economics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
- Analytical ability and a self-starting mindset.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
