About the role#
The Agronomy Intern will assist our Galveston, Indiana location with daily operations and agronomy tasks. This is a full-time summer 2027 position. You will work under supervision to learn the operational side of a retail farm center while supporting our team with field-based duties and customer service.
What you'll do#
- Scout fields and provide recommendations with help from your supervisor.
- Conduct soil and tissue sampling and analyze the results.
- Perform field applications and manage inventory for feed, fertilizer, and crop protection products.
- Assist with product deliveries to customers.
- Maintain accurate paperwork and ensure efficient communication.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agriculture Business, Soil Science, Crop Science, Agriculture Communication, or a related field.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.
- Prior agriculture experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel independently.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including exposure to dust and high noise levels.
- Ability to work extra hours, including weekends, and lift up to 50 pounds.
