About the role#
As a Product Development Intern, you will work with the Product Development Manager and the technical services and operations teams. You will manage specific projects, receive guidance from a mentor, and gain hands-on experience in dairy manufacturing. You will report on your progress throughout the term and present a final report to the Product Development team at the end of your internship.
What you'll do#
- Support product development projects from benchtop testing through plant trials.
- Plan, execute, and analyze experiments to support innovation and product improvements.
- Develop, test, and evaluate dairy products to meet project objectives.
- Document research findings and share results with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, and Plant Leadership.
- Collaborate with Product Development professionals to learn about processes, challenges, and best practices.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degree program in Food Science, Dairy Science, Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Interest in research, development, product innovation, and food manufacturing.

- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship with a rolling term.
- Locations: Appleton, WI; Luxemburg, WI; Le Sueur, MN; Eden Prairie, MN.
