About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern position focuses on learning the retail business from the ground up. You will work directly with the Store Manager to understand daily operations while contributing to a positive shopping experience for guests. This role is designed for students interested in a long-term commitment with The Buckle.
What you'll do#
- Perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks, including register procedures and cashiering.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking results.
- Complete required sections of the management manual, including Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing and Hiring.
- Provide weekly reports and progress updates to Area and District Managers.
- Work with the Store Manager to develop an understanding of retail business and management.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with the company.

- This is an on-site, part-time, paid internship.
