About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern works closely with the Store Manager to learn how the retail business operates. You will gain experience in sales, merchandising, and store operations while working toward management goals. This is a full-time, paid internship based in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.
What you'll do#
- Greet Guests with a friendly, engaging attitude.
- Achieve personal sales-per-hour and average sales goals set by Store Management.
- Complete the Teammate Orientation and Beginning Leadership sections of the Buckle Management Manual.
- Lead and motivate the team by tracking department metrics and performance.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of customer service expectations.
- Perform operational tasks including cashiering, merchandise displays, and facility maintenance.
- Provide weekly progress updates to the Area and District Managers.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a relevant field.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs throughout the store.
- A positive attitude at all times.
