About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern role at Buckle focuses on learning the retail business from the ground up. You will work closely with the Store Manager to understand how the company operates while gaining hands-on experience in leadership, merchandising, and sales. This position is designed for students interested in a long-term career with the company.
What you'll do#
- Complete key sections of the Buckle Management Manual, including Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing and Hiring.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates on the product, and tracking results.
- Lead and motivate the team by tracking performance metrics through the Performance Tracker.
- Provide weekly reports and progress updates to the Area Manager and District Manager.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and shoppable store environment.
- Perform daily retail tasks such as cashiering, merchandise display, and assisting guests.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
- Ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs throughout the store and backroom.
- Flexibility to work a schedule that includes mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with Buckle.
