About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern position focuses on the retail business at The Buckle, Inc. You will work closely with the Store Manager to learn how the business operates and what it takes to succeed in a management role. This internship is paid and operates on a rolling basis.
What you'll do#
- Fulfill store sales, merchandising, and operational tasks, including cashiering and creating merchandise displays.
- Complete training modules covering Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing and Hiring.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates on the product, and tracking your results.
- Provide weekly reports and progress updates to the Area and District Managers.
- Lead and motivate the team by tracking performance tools through the Performance Tracker.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
- An interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform essential job duties with reasonable accommodations.
