About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern position focuses on learning retail business management while supporting store operations. You will work directly with the Store Manager to understand how Buckle operates and gain hands-on experience in leadership, merchandising, and sales. This is a paid, on-site internship based in Midland, Texas.
What you'll do#
- Perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks including cashiering and inventory display.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking performance results.
- Lead and motivate the team by using Performance Tracker tools.
- Provide weekly reports and progress updates to the Area Manager and District Manager.
- Complete modules from the Buckle Management Manual covering orientation, leadership, and recruitment.
- Participate in monthly conference calls and complete assigned projects.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management from a four-year college or university.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with Buckle.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs throughout the store and backroom.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
