About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern supports the store mission by creating an enjoyable shopping experience for guests. You will work closely with the Store Manager to learn how the retail business operates and gain insight into management responsibilities. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship based in Saint Peters, Missouri.
What you'll do#
- Perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks including cashiering, merchandise display, and facility cleaning.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking results.
- Lead and motivate the team by using the Performance Tracker to monitor department or company tools.
- Complete Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing, and Hiring sections of the management manual.
- Provide weekly progress reports and updates to the Area Manager and District Manager.
- Participate in monthly conference calls and complete assigned special projects.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management from a four-year college or university.
- An interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs throughout the store and backroom.
- No prior experience or training is required for this role.
